Family Caregivers
Understanding the unique challenges of living at home with dementia, and how to best offer support and care to loved ones
Overview
A person with dementia tries to make sense of what's happening around them and meet their needs, just like we all do. Sometimes when they don't understand what's happening, they may decline support or want to leave. Staff often don't know how best to respond, and stress and distress can increase. This course helps you to better understand dementia and offer support in ways that help the person to feel safe.
