Our Story
At Braintific, we are dedicated to transforming how communities and workplaces understand and respond to Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Our mission is to deliver accessible dementia awareness, evidence-based education, and compassionate support for individuals living with dementia, their caregivers, and the professionals who serve them.
Braintific is led by CEO Dr. Donna de Levante Raphael, Ph.D., also known as “Dr. Donna,” a nationally and internationally recognized dementia educator, author, research scientist, and advocate. With more than two decades of experience in dementia education, caregiver support, and community outreach, she founded Braintific to address a critical gap in dementia awareness and preparedness across workplaces, healthcare systems, and communities.
Many workplaces and community institutions recognize the growing impact of dementia but often lack the knowledge, training, and strategies needed to respond effectively. These challenges inspired the creation of Braintific—to bridge the gap between dementia science, workplace preparedness, and community support.
Through education, consulting, and workforce development programs—including Dementia in the Workplace™ initiative, Braintific equips organizations with the knowledge and tools to create dementia-informed environments that support employees, families, and the communities they serve.
At Braintific, we believe preparing for dementia is not only a healthcare issue—it is a workforce, leadership, and community responsibility.
Supporting Communities and Professionals
Braintific – ADRD Training and Consulting Solutions supports national and state-level priorities for improving dementia care and awareness, particularly in alignment with the New York State Coordinating Council for Services Related to Alzheimer’s Disease and Other Dementias, which emphasizes early detection, community education, and enhanced caregiver support. Our training programs also reflect best practices outlined in the CDC’s Healthy Brain Initiative and the National Plan to Address Alzheimer’s Disease, focusing on psychosocial strategies, culturally competent care, and workforce readiness.
In addition to supporting families and healthcare professionals, Braintific provides tailored dementia education for businesses, their employees, and their clients, helping organizations become more dementia-inclusive. Through workplace education programs, HR-focused consulting, and client-facing awareness programs, we equip companies with the tools to recognize early signs of cognitive decline, respond with empathy, and reduce stigma. These initiatives are aligned with key national goals, including those set by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' National Strategy to Support Family Caregivers (2023) and the Administration for Community Living (ACL), which emphasize cross-sector partnerships to build dementia-friendly communities and dementia-capable workforces.
